About us

Who we are

We're a family of believers from across North County San Diego who share a love for the Bible and the hope it offers through Jesus.

Everyone who wants to follow Jesus is welcome here.

We don't expect people to have everything figured out before they walk through the door. We want to create a safe place where people can encounter Jesus, experience His grace, and grow in their relationship with Him.

But welcoming people doesn't mean compromising His standards. Jesus accepts us where we are, but He loves us too much to leave us there. We want to extend His grace without watering down His truth and offer His love without lowering His call to follow Him.

We are a small group looking to build a community that wants to be a light to the world, show the characteristics of God to each other and have Christ living in us.

  • A light to the world

Living so that others see God at work in us and are drawn to Him.

    Matthew 5:14–16
  • God's character in each other

Showing one another the patience, kindness, mercy and love God shows us.

    Galatians 5:22–23
  • Christ living in us

Growing day by day to think, speak and act more like Jesus.

    Galatians 2:20

Our mission

We exist to love God, love people, and live like Jesus—serving others with compassion, growing together in faith, truth and love, sharing the hope of the Gospel, and being a light in our community and the world.

About the Christadelphians

Christ·adelphoi

The name

The name Christadelphian means “brothers and sisters in Christ”—we are all children of God.

Servants, not rulers

No paid ministry

Christadelphians have no paid ministry; ecclesias are supported by volunteers who serve one another in the spirit of Christ. We seek to be servants rather than rulers, esteeming others above ourselves and sharing the responsibility of studying Scripture, offering Biblical encouragement, and caring for one another. We strive to follow the pattern of the first-century believers and, above all, the example of Jesus Christ, who is “the way, and the truth, and the life.”

ekklēsia

What is an ecclesia?

The word ecclesia comes from the Greek word ekklesia, meaning an assembly or congregation of people called or gathered together. In the Bible, it refers not to a church building, but to the people who gather in faith and belong to Christ. As Christadelphians, we use the word to describe the community of believers, united in the hope of the Gospel and our desire to follow God’s Word.

Whether you've read the Bible for years or are just curious, you're welcome to join us.

What we believe

The Bible
The Bible is the inspired Word of God, true and reliable, and the only guide for what we believe and how we live.
One God
There is one God, the Father, the creator of heaven and earth, who loves the world he made. We are biblical unitarians.
Jesus Christ
Jesus is the Son of God, born of the virgin Mary. He lived without sin, died for our salvation, was raised from the dead and now lives forever.
The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is God's power, by which he created all things, inspired the prophets and works in the world.
The Kingdom of God
Jesus will return to the earth to raise the dead, judge, and set up God's Kingdom, bringing peace and restoration to the whole world.
Baptism
Believers are baptized by full immersion after coming to understand and accept the gospel, to newness of life in Christ.
Mortality of man
We believe humans are mortal and do not possess an immortal soul. Eternal life is a gift from God through resurrection.
Satan / Devil
We believe the devil is a biblical term for sin and temptation from within, not a supernatural evil being. Satan is not a proper name but better translated as adversary.
