Your first Sunday
When you arrive
We are a small group who meets in parks, outdoor spaces, or a member’s home in a relaxed, family-friendly setting. When we meet outdoors, feel free to bring a chair or blanket and enjoy studying Scripture together in a peaceful setting as we open the Bible, and grow together in our understanding of God’s Word.
During the service
Expect hymns, prayer, Bible readings and a talk, followed by the breaking of bread. Visitors are welcome to sit, listen and join in the singing.
Afterward
Stay and chat for as long as you like. If you'd like a Bible or a reading plan, just ask. There's no pressure, only a chance to get to know each other.
Where we meet
Meeting in parks and homes in North County San Diego.
We gather across North County in close proximity to San Marcos, Escondido, Fallbrook, Carlsbad, Encinitas, Oceanside and Vista. Our meeting place changes from week to week, so get in touch and we'll send you this Sunday's location and details.
Questions
Who are the Christadelphians?
Christadelphians are a Bible-based Christian community founded in the 1840s. The name means "brothers and sisters in Christ." There are groups, called ecclesias, around the world.
What happens at the memorial service?
About an hour of songs, prayer, Bible readings and exhortation, followed by the breaking of bread and wine in remembrance of Jesus. Visitors are welcome to sit, listen and join in the singing.
What should I wear?
Whatever you're comfortable in. Many people dress smart-casual, but no one will mind what you wear.
Is there something for my kids?
Yes. Sunday school classes for children and teens meet before the memorial service. Kids are also welcome to sit with their family during the service.
Are Christadelphians Unitarian?
We are biblical unitarians: like the first Christians, we believe in one God, the Father, and that Jesus is his Son. Everything we believe comes from the Bible.
Is this a family-friendly church?
Very much so. Families with children of all ages are part of our community, kids have Sunday school each week, and little ones are always welcome in the service.
Where do you meet?
We gather in parks and members' homes around North County San Diego, including San Marcos, Escondido, Fallbrook, Carlsbad, Encinitas, Oceanside and Vista. Send us a message and we'll share this week's location, parking and anything else you need to know.
